I wanted to experiment with making a slider card and used the baby carriage for movement.

Life...enjoy the ride

I used a sweet Penny Black stamp along with an Alley Way sentiment for this simple card. I just returned from Florida to help with my mom's recovery from surgery and thought a lot about what is important in life. What's important in your life?

Crazy about you

The heat wave here has kept me inside but the upside is having lots of time to create! I love the stamps in this Penny Black set, Load of Love, along with a Simon Says sentiment from their For the Record stamp set and the dotted line is from the Simon Says stamp set from the July card kit. Memory box cloud dies and a scallop sun made with a Spellbinders die.

You make me smile

It's been so, sot hot this July 4th holiday weekend and this balloon has me dreaming of a cooler sky!

Cheiron Brandon and Kristina Werner provided the inspiration for this design. I loved Cheiron's recent card with a similar layout and I love how Kristina used 2 different sentiment stamps to create her sentiment, which I've done, too, using 2 HA sets. I used a stencil for the background with 2 different blue distressed inks, a variety of papers for the clouds and hearts, some glossy accents and enamel dots.

Where in the world...

This card was a lot of fun to create for the Simon Says challenge this week. I used the Simon Says patterned papers from the June card kit. I also used a HA luggage tag stamp and die set along with a Rubbermoon girl holding a globe, which I stamped from the Kelly Purkey stamp set that also came in the June card kit. Sentiment is from the same set. Thanks for looking!

You make the world go round

I will submit this to the Simon Says challenge this week - transportation. I used the Simon Says June card kit along with a Lawn Fawn airplane stamp.

You make me feel right at home

Made for Deborah Nolan's June Card Chain Challenge and am sending it to Loly. I had a lot of fun creating this card with lots of die cuts and a cardboard fence which I stamped with an HA wood BG stamp.

I made this card for a co-worker as she just had a baby boy. Something simple and sweet for the new bundle of joy!

I had a lot of fun creating this handbag although the cutting could have been a bit better. I blinged it up a bit with some Diamond Stickles, added some lovely Prima flowers and a Hampton Arts sentiment. Hope you're having a great day!

Pattern Play Day 4

I combined some of the techniques from Day 2 and Day 4.

Pattern Play class card

I made this card from the Day 1 lesson and it basically mirrors Jennifer's card format. Learning which patterns go together is quite a lesson!

Oh, it's Friday! Time to kick back and enjoy the start of the weekend with these lovely ladies. Background hearts are Lawn Fawn, sentiment is Hampton Arts and the ladies are Art Impressions colored with Copics and are popped up with foam dots.

I took a class last night with Cheiron and I created this card today based on her fabulous design. This is the first time I've used a stencil as an entire background and really cased her design using distressed inks. Thanks, Cheiron!

The sentiment is HA from the Love Every Day set, the magical girl is from Rubbermoon Stamp Co. She is colored with Copics and topped with a heart.

This was a lot of fun to create. Thanks, Cheiron!

A sympathy card for a work friend whose sister-in-law passed away at the age of 49 and quite suddenly. It seems she went into cardiac arrest a number of times and it caused terrible complications. Anyway, I thought this card might be the right thing, not too sad and sort of uplifting. I saw a version of this in a magazine and I didn't have any of the right stamps so I followed the technique. Thanks for looking. I hope you have a great day.

Nancy turned me on to Sherri Carol's velveteen stamping video and it's very fun to do and frankly, I really cased Sheri's card! I am trying to explore more stamping techniques rather than relying on using patterened papers, which I really do love. All of this stamping is helping me understand the different kinds of inks - dye, pigment, shadow, distress, mid-tone, etc. and how they work together...or don't! And, also learning which colors will work together, too.

It's a snowy Friday here and if work isn't too crazy, I may try and "play" today!

This is for the March CCC. Shhhh. It's a surprise for Janet in Mauritius! :-)

Papertrey Dye inks, HA flower stamp and sentiment and some Doodlebug pearls.

I just cannot put down these new Lawn Fawn stamps! Some Inktensils and glossy accents used with a small piece of green vellum, which Linda W gave me last year at Scrapfest!  I went with primary colors for the hearts as they are just so bright and colorful.

It's snowing here but we don't expect much of an accumulation, thank goodness. Work is quiet this afternoon so I got in some play time. I hope you're having a great day!

I have 2 new Lawn Fawn sets and they are really sweet. The background was stamped repeatedly with the heart stamp using chalk ink and the cute popsicle was colored with Copics. Who could resist that smile?
